I'm very much a fan of Emily Blunt across the board. She can do drama, comedy and time-and-time again hits it on the red carpet.
At last night's Critics' Choice Movie Awards, Emily wore an ivory midi shift with an embellished neckline and strap detail by Miu Miu.
THAT length works here within the '30s/40s glamour vibe of the encrusted high neckline, waved faux-bob and red lip.
Don't ask me what's going on with that zipper. A chunky gold box clutch was perfect, but the glittering Prada sandals did nothing for me.
I was excited to get a look at the back of the dress. Not as excited as Emily's Devil Wears Prada co-star.
Annie Hathaway got her Oscar nomination! We can be thankful for that given how she was driven to a fierce insanity in the lead up to yesterday's announcement. The Les Miserables star (although she's apparently in the movie for a half hour, tops) fell back into her sparkly fashion princess style in a metallic Oscar De La Renta swirly beaded strappy gown for the event last night.
Could I BE more bored. Probably not. The dress is lovely but its screaming for a lift, given the stark state of affairs on Hathaway's head. I'm all for minimalism in the right measures but this needed a statement piece of jewelry somewhere.
Thankfully she's not the stuff of nightmares, for the time being.
